Despite their international fame, the members of Coldplay recognize that their musical talent isn't their greatest asset--pretty boy bassist Guy Berryman is. After wrapping up a charity auction for the artwork of their latest album, Mylo Xyloto, lead singer Chris Martin said that the prize for their next charity event would be a romantic night out with Guy himself. Try not to blink at the price tag, though.
"A date with our bass player would be worth a million or more," said Chris in an interview with The Sun, "specifically a night with our bass player."
The guys don't seem to waste any modesty on Guy's good looks, which Chris has credited for everything from the band's popularity to their calendar sales. The type of event he imagines would mimic the '90s film Indecent Proposal--or, in other words, a frat house's idea of community service. No word from Guy on the deal, but it couldn't hurt to start saving those pennies (and pence), just in case.
As for the band, they'll be taking a break from touring to go hard at work on their sixth album. Tight-lipped as they are about the new album, the band can promise one thing: The title will be a lot easier to pronounce this time around.
