Justin Vivian Bond will join The Tiger Lillies onstage for Sinderella Songs, A Concert--an evening of music from their twisted collaborative album, as well as songs from the careers of both the artist and the group--at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn, NY from October 25th to the 29th.
Bond, called the greatest cabaret artist of V's generation, already has quite a following in New York thanks to countless appearances at Joe's Pub with cabaret demi-gods like Sandra Bernhard and Amber Martin. Along with the twisted talents of the legendarily sinister Tiger Lillies--remembered most fondly in New York for their critically acclaimed Off-Broadway show Shockheaded Peter--Mx. Bond will bring the story of a fabled crack-whore (played by Bond) raised by her stepsisters and stepmother (Lillies' front man Martyn Jacques) to life.
"Hopefully," says Jaques in a press release, "we will be able to generate quite a lot of hatred on stage between us."
Sinderella Songs, A Concert: October 25-29, 8:00 P.M at St. Anne's Warehouse in Brooklyn, NY. Go here for ticket information.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! See Mx. Justin Vivian Bond, free of charge, TONIGHT at Duane Park.
There'll be the sort of crazy genius covers you've come to expect from Bond, plus original songs from v's new album, no doubt. Musical direction by Thomas Bartlett.
