Miss Piggy to Make an Appearance During Fashion's Night Out

It's no secret that Opening Ceremony has made it their mission to cultivate a store that serves as a cool, downtown counterpoint to stuffy uptown luxury boutiques. To aid in this assignment, they've wisely set their eyes on arbiters of taste and style to help proselytize their nonchalant sense of sartorial whimsy. For example, Chloe Sevigny has become the virtual spokesperson for the store with her ongoing partnership with the collab-crazy brand. There is no denying that Sevigny has endless appeal and makes for a mutually beneficial partner-in-crime: Opening Ceremony benefits from her cool cache and she slaps her name on a clothing line that doesn't come across as "selling out". Everyone is happy, us included (although we're still waiting for Sevigny to offer men's clothing!)

But now, there's a -- ahem -- larger personality that's been tapped by the OC crew. For their annual Fashion's Night Out party, which is ultimately a gathering of the coolest kids in New York, they've enlisted the help of an enduring symbol maven: Miss Piggy. The luscious Muppet has been at the eye of the fashion hurricane for almost three decades now, but she's certainly hitting a zenith with her upcoming role as editor of Vogue Paris in the next Muppets movie. Now she's making appearances on behalf of New York's hottest boutique? Who says the fashion industry eschews ladies with curvy figures?
