Why: In response to the recent devastating storms and tornados that wreaked havoc and destruction in the southeast, CFDA award winning designer Billy Reid is releasing this special-edition t-shirt, with all profits going to the Red Cross Alabama Tornado Disaster Relief Fund. Reid is an Alabama native, and despite his flourishing clothing business -- which often melds a modern and urban sensibility with more rustic southern charms -- he chooses to remain living in Florence, Alabama -- a far cry from New York, the more practical location for a clothing line and America's undisputed fashion capital. But because of this connection to his hometown, Reid felt particularly inspired to help contribute to the initiatives that are in place to help rebuild the small communities that were completely decimated at the hands of these natural disasters.
