Several dark and violent encounters with the paranormal during childhood set the stage for the rest of Ryan Buell's life. Upon entering Penn State University, Buell founded the Paranormal Research Society and soon after became the star and co-executive producer of A&E's reality television show Paranormal State. Last fall Buell released a memoir, Paranormal State: My Journey into the Unknown, which recounts his life as a ghost hunter and also served as his coming out story -- not an easy feat for the devout Catholic.

Paranormal State: My Journey into the Unknown is now available in bookstores and on Amazon.com. For more info on Buell, including how to contact him if you're in need of some help with the spirit world, visit the Paranormal Research Society's official website.
