Thou Shalt Covet: Dries Van Noten Belt

In honor of our interview with Mr. Dries Van Noten last week, we thought we'd feature a little something from the all-star design hero, who's able to balance being both cerebral and emotional with his work. Leave it to Van Noten to turn even the dullest of accessories, in this case, a belt, into a festive, charming accouterment. The belt in question is really just a play on a men's striped tie. The silk jacquard neckwear is finished with a leather detailing and a double loop fastener, transforming it into a foppish and floppy waist-cincher. It's a perfect example of the playfulness and sophistication that Van Noten can pry from his designs.
