Summer 2012 is shaping up to be the summer of Carly Rae Jespen. Call Me Maybe topped the Hot 100 chart for its second week in a row and everyone from Jimmy Fallon to a bunch of bare-chested Abercrombie models--as if there were any other kind--have done a cover or a tribute. Well it looks Carly Rae might be responsible for another hit--or half of one anyway.
She's teamed up with "Fireflies" singer, Owl City (Adam Young), and created what's sure to be a Top 40 staple for quite a while. The synth-driven pop track is a sugarcoated surefire summer anthem. The pair sings in celebration of lazy days, awesome parties, and effortless fun. "Good Time" is laced with the Zooey Deschanel-esque quirkiness Young's famous for and Carly Rae's special brand of upbeat pep. The track will feature on Owl City's upcoming album The Midsummer Station, due to drop August 21 on Universal Republic. "Good Time" comes out today on iTunes and other digital retailers.
