Taylor Zakhar Perez Had the Red, White & Royal Blue Director Check Out His Body Hair

Red, White & Royal Blue is one of our favorite romances of the year, and the people who made it went to extreme lengths to make sure it was as sexy as possible.
In a recent interview, director Matthew López opened up about just how committed actor Taylor Zakhar Perez was to getting his characterization of First Son of the United States, Alex Claremont -iaz, right — even when it comes to body hair.
López was on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show when he revealed the hairy situation.
On the podcast, Cagle said that he appreciated that the actors hadn’t been “fully waxed” and that there was “the reality of body hair.” That’s when López spilled the tea.
He revealed that at one point, he was called into star Taylor Zakhar Perez’ trailer to take a look at his situation.

“I go into Tayor’s trailer – we’ve been making this movie for like, five, six weeks at this point – and Karen [Hartley, who did hair and makeup on the movie] looks at Taylor and says, ‘Alright, tell him what you told me.’ And he goes, ‘I don’t know if I should shave or not.’ I’m like, ‘Your face?’ And he goes, ‘No, babe,’” he recalled.
“‘Alright, well what do you want to do about it?’” López continued. “He goes, ‘Just look, okay?’ So, I had my hair and makeup person there as the chaperone, because I didn’t want my career to end before it began, and Taylor, like, lowers his pants and he’s like, ‘Look at my ass,’ and I’m like, ‘You’re fine, you look great!’”
“After that, I walked over to my first AD and I was like, ‘You won’t believe how my day just started,’” he laughed.
He continued, saying that he knows that Hollywood has impossible-to-meet standards, but wants to see more naturalism in bodies in movies.
“Hardly anybody’s gonna argue that these two young men aren’t beautiful, but a body itself as it is naturally is a gorgeous thing. So, yeah, I told Taylor, ‘Please, just bring your hairy butt to set!”
In the end, Zakhar Perez was the perfect amount of hairy, as he and Nicholas Galatzine (who played Prince Henry) looked amazing together in every scene. The sex scenes were so hot, they even became educational, teaching straight people that gays can indeed have missionary sex.
