With Ezra Miller facing more and more legal trouble and making themself look worse and worse, some fans are starting to wonder whether Warner Bros. will replace the queer actor in their role as the Flash in the DC Extended Universe. And now we have an idea who they might replace Miller with.
While many fans, especially those who watch the CW's Arrowverse, have been petitioning for former Glee star Grant Gustin, who plays the Flash in the TV show named after him, recently, another name has popped up.
According to Screengeek, Warner Bros. is considering replacing Miller with actor Dylan O'Brien. O'Brien, 30, also starred in The Maze Runner films, Love and Monsters, and MTV's gay-inclusive cult favorite series Teen Wolf.
However, this does come into conflict with earlier reports that the studio was not worried about replacing Miller, even after their second arrest in Hawaii. Not only is Miller's Flash film still scheduled for its June 23, 2023 release date, but Warner Bros. has also not spoken out on the issue.
While O'Brien is a fun choice to replace Miller, perhaps his Teen Wolf co-star Tyler Posey would be a better replacement, keeping the character played by a queer actor.
Miller has been arrested twice in Hawaii this year. The first time was for disorderly conduct and harassment, and the second time was for second-degree assault after they allegedly threw a chair at a woman.
For now, it seems like Warner Bros. isn't planning on replacing Miller anytime soon. But, as we know in this modern world, things change every day, and perhaps we could see an all new Flash as soon as next year...
