The kitchen is hot tonight!
Top Chef Season 17 winner Melissa King won again tonight when she walked the 2022 Met Gala Red Carpet in Thom Browne shorts and a tuxedo jacket. They took the black tux look -- that can often get repetitive on a night like this -- and gave it their own, queer, butch twist.
Just look at those calves!!! This is giving the sapphics exactly what we want!
To emphasize the night's Gilded Glamour theme, King added some incredible gold rings and handpieces that extended her fingers out like jewel-encrusted talons.

In a year when many stars didn't exactly follow the theme, and many more didn't exactly stun us with their looks, King is a breath of fresh fashion air.
King, who is genderfluid and uses both she and they pronouns, first stepped into the spotlight when she placed fourth on the 12th season of Bravo's reality cooking competition show Top Chef. She then returned for Season 17, where she won the title of Top Chef, and also took home the fan-favorite trophy.
While we never tire of seeing beautiful queer stars in gowns, it's also wonderful to get some more masc queer fashion at the event. Hopefully, we'll get to see more masc looks like this in the future!
