Tom Daley Reveals His Most Kinky Knitting Request

Where can we place our order, Tom?!

Tom Daley has been knitting up a storm since winning his first Olympic gold medal last year, and the most requested item from his friends is none other than a c*ck sock.

The 27-year-old British diver told Holly H and Georgina Revell on the Planet Weirdo with Holly H podcast last week that while knitting helps him relax, the hobby isn't quite as prim and proper as many might suspect.

"It's so therapeutic. It is so therapeutic," Daley said on Planet Weirdo. "And you can make some really crazy things. Honestly, the most requested things for my friend's birthdays are c*ck socks. I've done so many willy warmers it's unreal."

The revelation didn't shock host Holly H, though. In fact, she revealed that she and Revell had been discussing what was the strangest item he had ever knitted, including items like the aforementioned c*ck sock.

"You name it, I've made it," Daley admitted.

Daley was famously photographed knitting between dives at the Summer Olympic game in Tokyo last year. He jokingly told Holly H that prior to that photograph he was often incorrectly referred to in the press as a swimmer rather than a diver. But now, he said he's known as a knitter.

In an interview with Radio Times earlier this month, Daley revealed he wasn't a fan of swimming. He was discussing his recent Comic Relief fundraiser where he raised funds for charity by rowing, cycling, swimming, and running from Stratford to his hometown of Plymouth, and one segment included swimming in cold, open waters. A documentary about the feat, Tom Daley's Hell of a Homecoming, aired on BBC One and iPlayer Monday, March 14.

Daley has been using his increased visibility to both benefit the community and call out those who threaten it. After winning gold last year, he called for an Olympic ban on all countries that criminalize same-sex relations.

"These past Olympic Games, there were more out LGBT athletes than any of the previous Olympics combined, which is a great step forward," Daley said in a speech while accepting the Sports Award at last year's Attitude Awards last October. "Yet there are still 10 countries that punish being gay with death, that were allowed to compete at the Olympic Games."

Not all of his time has been spent on activism, though. Daley also revealed to Holly H how fatherhood and family life have changed him for the better.

"You don't realize how much you can love something until you become a parent."
