Here's How to Pronounce Dan Levy's Name (If You Don't Know)

It was a big weekend for the multihyphenate.

Daniel Levy has to be in one of the most exciting moments of his life. After closing out the final season of Schitt's Creek, the show he starred in and co-created, he took a pretty triumphant run on the awards show circuit. Along the way, he took home a SAG Award, Critics Choice Award, and a Golden Globe. Oh, and there was that night at the Emmys, which has now landed him on Jeopardy!.

Anderson Cooper has been guest hosting Jeopardy!, as one in a string of celebrity names. In a recent episode, there was a Supporting TV Characters category. For the $600 question, Cooper read off:

"In 2020, this actor was all over the Emmy cast, including accepting his own for the supporting role of David Rose," he said. A contestant named Kimberly buzzed in.

"Who is Dan Levy," she responded.

"Dan Levy is correct," Cooper responded. But there is a slight difference in pronunciation, Cooper using a soft e in Levy.

"Anderson Cooper with that gentle last name correction," Levy wrote to Twitter when he saw the video clip. "Also," he wrote before posting a mind-blown emoji, likely because he was an answer to a question on Jeopardy!

But the weekend was a big one for the star for other reasons as well. He dropped a new collection from his brand D.L. Eyewear. The range includes five styles, one of which (the Highland) is the frame that Levy wore to the Emmys.

"I was wearing Thom Browne to the Emmys," he told GQ. "Once we knew what we were working with in terms of the look, we built this frame as a one-off for me to wear with the outfit. I loved it so much that we put it straight into production. So I feel like this frame has some good vibes around me."
