10 Queer & Trans Comics Performing at Netflix's Comedy Festival
Our favorite queer and trans comedians are performing at 'Netflix Is a Joke: the Festival!'
Earlier today, Netflix announced a giant new comedy festival featuring over a hundred live shows throughout over 25 venues across Los Angeles. Netflix Is a Joke: the Festival is described as "a BRAND NEW comedy festival that's calling on THE BIGGEST NAMES IN COMEDY to descend on LA for ELEVEN DAYS. From absolute legends to hand-picked rising stars, we've stacked this thing with the funniest people who responded to our DMs."
And damn, they weren't lying about legends and rising stars! The Festival has a killer lineup including Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration. That show, taking place May 7 at the Greek Theatre, features headliners Eddie Izzard, Margaret Cho, Sandra Bernhard, Tig Notaro, and Wanda Sykes, who will be joined by other queer and trans comedians.
While one familiar anti-trans troll is on the lineup, thankfully, so are a lot of queer and trans comedians we can't wait to see. This list isn't even comprehensive at all. Other queer and trans comedians like Trixie Mattel, Todd Glass, Bob the Drag Queen, Ellen DeGeneres, Fortune Feimster, Lea DeLaria, Patti Harrison, and more are also appearing. Head over to their website to search through the full lineup and get tickets today!
