Ryan Murphy has birthed another Hollywood hunk!
After going viral for rocking tight white briefs in the premiere episode of the new FX series The Shards, Igby Rigney is now booking some exciting opportunities.
Starring a slew of stunning actors alongside Rigney, The Shards is based on the 2023 autofiction/horror novel of the same name by American author Bret Easton Ellis. The teen horror-thriller follows a group of ultra-wealthy high school seniors in 1981 Los Angeles whose lives completely unravel under the dual threats of a new student and a ruthless serial killer.
In The Shards, Rigney stars as the lead character, Bret Easton Ellis, a fictionalized, 17-year-old version of the real-life author. The handsome actor is best known for his work in horror and drama projects, including prominent roles in Mike Flanagan's Netflix series Midnight Mass, The Midnight Club, and The Fall of the House of Usher.
It should come as no surprise that the leading men are showing plenty of body in Murphy's new show, so Rigney is now teaming up with Interview Magazine on a shirtless new spread as he explores the beach. In the accompanying article, the actor reveals that he's still on the dating apps and that his summer would be defined by 'sex, drugs, and rock n' roll baby!'
The Shards has earned significant buzz and strong audience engagement, so Ryan Murphy and Bret Easton Ellis have planned the adaptation to span multiple years. In fact, 2 additional seasons are already anticipated if the multi-year rollout goes according to plan.
