Lil Nas X Posts Selfie Video With Gay Porn Still in Background

Lil Nas X kissing himself in Holiday promo

I — don't know what to say.

Lil Nas X is a child of the internet. He knows how to stay in the center of the conversation and go viral. This is less because he has some sort of team behind him strategizing, but moreso because he's a child of the web and just knows how memes and virality work. It's honestly an honor to behold, watching a mainstream celebrity leverage the web in the way all of our favorite Twitter gays do. In his latest gag, he's used some imagery that may be familiar to some of our readers.

When a Twitter user posted screenshots showing how they had "finessed" our favorite "Holiday" singer responded with a video. of himself. In the video he recreates a photo of a clown -- you get it, in this instance, he is the clown. But that's not what got the attention of many.

In the background of the video, on what seems to be a flat-screen television is what appears a still of a gay porn. In the photo, two guys make out with a lot of lip action. We have to say, we are not not fans.

And yes, in case you were wondering someone did find which film it was. Introducing: Dark Journeys #08 by Totally Tasteless Video.

The moment reminds us of another iconic moment in celebrity culture. You may remember that in 2016 Madonna found herself tweeting a still from a gay porn as well. At the time, she was tweeting a message of solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.

"Love is Love," she wrote. "Stop Hate Crimes. Any form of terrorism is a form of Hate!" In the photo attached, two men were in the middle of a tongue-heavy make out session. In the comments, fans posted the link to the video that the image was pulled from.

Celebrities, using stills from adult films out of context just like you!
