Everything seems to be turning up Viv!
Back in 2015, The Vivienne was named RuPaul's Drag Race U.K. Drag Ambassador. The competition was, according to her, nothing more than a small bar night, and fairly simple. This year, she competed against 11 other queens for the debut season of RuPaul's Drag Race U.K., where the crown was hers to lose. She came away with the crown, and two spinoff shows, one of which debuted last week. And now, she's a married lady!
In a historic move, The Vivienne became half of the first couple to ever get married at London's Heaven Nightclub this weekend -- the venue celebrated its 40 year anniversary this month. The drag star married her longtime partner David Ludford, both clad in navy striped suits. The club was transformed with hanging lights, greenery, as well as tons of hydrangeas.
On social media, many shared photos of the event. Chad Michaels performed, as Cher naturally, and John Waite, the winner of 2012's Great British Baking Show, created the multi-tiered cake. The night had a "whimsical theme" so Waithe added "modern spikes and skulls" to the design. Michaels also officiated the ceremony.
Other queens also performed at the event: Beeyonce, a Beyonce impersonator took to the stage at one point. Donna Marie, a Lady Gaga tribute artist also performed live, for the couple's first dance. Gothy Kendall, a competitor on Drag Race U.K. also made a performance -- it seems as if others like Baga Chipz, Blu Hydrangea, Divina De Campo and Cheryl Cole did as well but Out was unable to verify.
Come 2020, The Vivienne -- and we are assuming her husband as well --is headed to Hollywood. There, she will film a new television series as a part of her prize for winning Drag Race U.K. This will join Morning T & T, which she currently hosts with Drag Race U.K. competitor and finalist Baga Chipz.
