1: Art Stars at Louisiana
Without doubt the world's most beautifully situated art museum, Louisiana is an easy excursion from Copenhagen, and one you won't soon forget. A rotating series of exhibitions brings the German watercolorist Emil Nolde and a site-specific project by Danish art star Olafur Eliasson to Lousiana this summer, but the permanent collection is 
well worth the journey, too, not least for the sculptures by Henry Moore and Alexander Calder, which populate the elegantly-landscaped grounds. Weather permitting, you can get lunch from the excellent Danish buffet and grab a seat outdoors for the greatest exhibit of all: the ocean.
2: Coffee at Torvehallerne
This shopping venue--a covered food market adjacent to Norreport Station--has a wonderful range of vendors, but the star attraction is a cup of morning Joe from Coffee Collective (perhaps followed by a bowl of porridge from GROD).
3: Take a bike ride
Copenhagen, like the rest of the country, is a cyclist's paradise, and there's no better way to experience all the city has to offer than on two wheels. Try a guided tour with Cycling Copenhagen, founded by bike enthusiast Christian Hougaard. The three-hour Urban Tour is your best bet when it comes to seeing the city's diverse neighborhoods,including Norrebro and Christianshavn.
4: Eat Smorrebrod at Restaurant Kronborg
At gay-owned Restaurant Kronborg, the menu is strictly traditional, with a focus on Denmark's famous open sandwich--usually a slice of buttered rye bread piled high with herring, seafood, and smoked meats. Wash it down with a glass of aquavit.

6: Stroll the Tivoli Gardens
There's a reason that Copenhagen's Tivoli Gardens, first opened in 1843, is one of the most visited parks in Europe. Crowded with first-rate restaurants, theaters, and dance halls, it's a natural place to find yourself during a summer evening when you're likely to catch live jazz, classical, or pop music (Azealia Banks will be playing there in September).
