Raven is back, bitches!

After nine years working behind the scenes as RuPaul's head makeup artist (which earned her an Emmy Award), Raven is back as a contestant on the inaugural season of Drag Race Down Under vs. The World.

The drag superstar was announced Tuesday as part of the cast, which marks her long-awaited return to the Drag Race franchise. Raven first appeared on season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2010 and came in second place. In 2012, she returned to for the first season of All Stars, where she again finished as a runner-up.

5 years later, Raven became RuPaul's makeup artist 2017 and won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2020 for Outstanding Contemporary Makeup. The iconic queen celebrated her return with a post to her 683K followers on Instagram, declaring: "Herstory will be MADE!"

Initially, fans speculated on social media that casting Raven was just a stunt. After all, she entered the Werk Room on All Stars 7 as a gag, but didn't actually compete as a contestant.

Ravel is also reuniting with her season 2 sister Nicole Paige Brooks on the Down Under cast along with Art Simone (Down Under), Coco Jumbo (Down Under), Estrella Xtravaganza (EspaƱa), Flor (Down Under), LaLa Ri (USA), Miss Jade So (Philippines), Michael Marouli (U.K.), Nikita Iman (Down Under), and Vybe (Down Under).

Hosted by Michelle Visage, Rhys Nicholson returns as a judge, along with season four winner Lazy Susan on this year’s panel.
