Shortly after coming out as pansexual and poly, Jena Malone has landed another big movie, joining the ensemble cast of Kevin Costner's upcoming Western epic Horizon. The movie, which "chronicles a multi-faceted 15-year span of pre- and post-Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West" also stars Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jamie Campbell Bower, Luke Wilson, Thomas Haden Church, Alejandro Edda, Tatanka Means, and Michael Rooker.
Happiest Season director Clea DuVall is joining the sprawling cast of Rian Johnson's upcoming mystery drama series Poker Face over at Peacock. The ten-episode anthology will also star Adrien Brody, Audrey Corsa, Benjamin Bratt, Charles Melton, Chloe Sevigny, Danielle MacDonald, Dascha Polanco, Ellen Barkin, Jameela Jamil, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Judith Light, Lil Rel Howery, Niall Cunningham, Nicholas Cirillo, Nick Nolte, Ron Perlman, S. Epatha Merkerson, Simon Helberg, Stephanie Hsu, Tim Blake Nelson, and Tim Meadows.
The Morning Show is about to get more gay, as dreamboat comedian Tig Notaro is set to join the cast for season 3 alongside Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Anniston, Julianna Marguilies, Nicole Beharie, and John Hamm. She'll be playing Amanda Robinson, the chief of staff to the corporate titan played by Hamm.
Thor: Love and Thunder'sTessa Thompson will star opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the sci-fi thriller Ash, directed by musician and filmmaker Flying Lotus. Ash "watches as a woman (Thompson) wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed, and must then decide if she can trust the man (Gordon-Levitt) sent to rescue her. But as their investigation into what happened sets in motion a terrifying chain of events, he begins to wonder how innocent she really is."
The Everybody's Talking About Jamie star has an all-new project called The Loneliest Boy. This coming-of-age horror-comedy follows the sheltered and unsocialized Oliver (Harwood) who, after being told he needs to make new friends after the death of his mother, "decides that digging a few up (literally) might be his best bet. However, when he awakens the morning after his excavating escapades, he discovers that his newly acquired friends have mysteriously come to life overnight, launching them all into a series of misadventures as they try to keep their secret safe from neighbors, classmates, and social workers alike."
