A proposed Heartstopper-themed Lego set that was posted to the beloved toy brand's Lego Ideas forum may soon become purchasable in real life!
The set -- a replica of main character Charlie Spring's bedroom -- was originally posted to the Lego Ideas page back in May and has since gained over 9,500 supporters at the time of this writing. The set is a scaled-down, extremely accurate AF representation of Charlie's room and would include figures of Charlie, as well as other main characters like his love interest Nick and the rest of their friends like Elle, Tao, and Isaac. Like the set itself, the figures are instantly recognizable and possess what makes them unique on the show.
For those not familiar, Heartstopper is a beloved graphic novel series that spawned an equally beloved, criticially-acclaimed Netflix original series of the same name that premiered earlier this year, centering around the love story of two English prep-school boys. In the months following the shows premiere, Heartstopper has become a favorite amongst LGBTQ+ audiences for its happy portrayal of young, queer love, which is probably why so many fans are gunning for a Lego set based on the show to become a reality.
"God this is such an awesome set I'm putting all my hope on this becoming a reality," one commenter wrote in the comment section of the pitch, which was just a small taste of the type of enthusiasm this Lego project has been garnering.
As a fan outreach forum, the Lego Ideas page is a hotbed of ideas where fans can post their ideas for Lego sets and have others vote on their ideas to see if they can become a reality. The page also offers a chance to win prizes. If the Heartstopper set gets picked up (and we sure hope it does!), it will join the ranks of other fan-inspired sets like the Seinfeld set and the Home Alone house, both of which are currently available for purchase on the Lego website.
