Peacock's Queer As Folk reboot is coming along nicely!
After first announcing that Jesse James Keitel was going to be one of the stars, Peacock announced the whole cast for their new, upcoming series (that includes an award-winning TV legend) as well as a new executive producer and writer Jaclyn Moore (Dear White People) who is joining Stephen Dunn behind the scenes.
This new version of the show will take place in New Orleans and follows a diverse group of friends whose lives are transformed in the aftermath of a tragedy. Here's who you can expect to see starring!
Keitel, who became the first nonbinary actor to play a nonbinary series regular on primetime television when they starred in Big Sky, was announced as the first cast member of the new reboot.
Grace, a New Orleans native, will play a nonbinary professor "navigating the rocky transition from punk to parenthood." They've appeared in the ABC drama pilot Acts of Crime.
Devin Way (Grey's Anatomy, Station 19) is joining the cast as "a charming and sometimes chaotic commitment-phobe who finds a reason to stay in New Orleans after tragedy rocks his community."
Fin Argus, who recently starred in the Disney+ movie Clouds, is joining the cast as "a cocky high schooler whose confidence belies his lack of real world experience."
You know and love Johnny Sibilly from Pose, Hacks, and social media, and now we can look forward to seeing him on Queer As Folk where he'll play "a successful lawyer who is not as put together as he seems."
O'Connell (Special) is joining the cast as "a pop culture nerd with cerebral palsy who is more than ready for some independence." He's also going to be a co-exuctive producer and writer on the series.
The TV legend, best known for playing Samantha on HBO's iconic series Sex and the City, will play a recurring role in the new Queer As Folk, and though not much is known about her character yet, we do know that she will play a "martini-soaked, high society southern debutant with trailer park roots."
The actor and producer, who we know from titles like Switched at Birth, Difficult People, and America's Next Top Model will join the Queer As Folk cast as a guest star, playing "a charming grad student."
The comedian and social media superstar (Search Party, Bros) will play a self-aggrandizing influencer.
The Work in Progress and The Chi alum will play the reigning drag queen and matriarch of the local scene.
Reno 911! and Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Chris Renfro will play a fun-loving hedonist who is always the life of the party.
The Young Sheldon alum will play an emotionally distant father.
Locke & Key's Eric Graise will play a jaded barfly who DNGAF about your problems.
Bhatt, who you've seen on Grace & Frankie and Into the Dark, will play a charming and empathetic sex worker.
Icon Juliette Lewis will play a single mom who is more of a friend than a parent to her teenage son.
Known for 4400 and Westworld, Seabrooks is set to play Taylor, a reluctant dinner party guest.
The Hacks star is set to play Meg, an aspiring singer.
The Winning Time and Oppenheimer actor will play George, a friend from the mall.
The White Lotus and Euphoria alum will play the role of Eric, a personal trainer.
