Do These New And Just Like That Set Pics Hint At a Queer Miranda Romance?

sara and cynthia

We see you Cynthia Nixon and Sara Ramirez!!!

The Miranda-is-queer train is gaining more and more steam.

Thanks to an especially hot photo of Miranda with a new character played by Sara Ramirez on the set of And Just Like That, rumors that the classic Sex and The City character will be gay in the new reboot are that much more substantial.

In the upcoming Sex and The City reboot, nonbinary actor and Out100 cover star Sara Ramirez is playing Che Diaz, a nonbinary comedian and podcaster. While we don't know a lot of details, it seems that Diaz is going to be getting pretty close to one classic character, Miranda, as played by out actress Cynthia Nixon.

Now, thanks to Getty Images, we've seen a lot more of the characters' interactions with each other. The show was recently shooting in New York City, and several scenes from the series were shot at an LGBTQ+ rally. Those scenes not only feature Diaz, who we expected to be there, but also heavily feature Miranda too. (Thanks to Autostraddle for pointing this one out!)

Getty also has lots of other images of Ramirez and Nixon's characters at what seems to be a Pride event or rally of some kind. In some of them, they're standing on a stage with a microphone giving a speech. In the images, Ramirez's character is wearing a shirt that reads "Angels have no gender, but lots of sex."

But what we're really interested in is the images that show Ramirez and Nixon interacting together at the event. It seems as though in the show, Miranda attends the rally and it even looks like she brings Che some coffee!

The rumors that Miranda is going to be queer in the new reboot are getting more and more substantial! After Miranda and Che were seen together in clips from the upcoming show, fans online immediately began speculating that the two might get together on the show.

Now, we've got even more evidence that really might be happening.

And Just Like That premieres December 9 on HBO Max, so make sure to watch to find out what's really going on!
