It seems to be the season for trailers! Next up: Katy Keene, the Riverdale spinoff, that looks to be pretty queer.

Keene is a creation of Greg Berlanti and Roberto Auierre-Sacasa, and stars Lucy Hale. It follows the lives of four iconic Archie Comics characters as they chase their dreams in New York City together. Written by Aguierre-Sacasa and Michael Grassi, it stars Hale as the titular Keene who works in fashion, Ashleigh Murray as singer Josie McCoy, Jonny Beauchamp as the drag performer Jorge Lopez (or Ginger), and Julia Chan as the "It Girl" Pepper Smith.

The trailer gives glimpses of Beaucamp in drag as Ginger, but also in bed, making out with an unnamed character. And it's not a one-off thing, there's quite a few same-sex kisses in the trailer. Love to see it!

As per an earlier announcement, Ginger won't be the only character in drag: Shangela will also be making an appearance as Devereaux, an "A-list drag queen." The pair will compete as drag rivals for at least one episode, but it is not clear whether the appearance will be a recurring one. The trailer seems to include glimpses of footage from either that pageant, or one of Ginger's club performances.

Though the show doesn't premiere until February 6, things are already looking good for Katy Keene. CW has ordered 13 additional scripts for the series, presumably a look at the second season. While this is not an official renewal, it does show that there's already interest. Here's to hoping.

Katy Keene premieres February 6 at 8 PM on the CW.
