All Elite Wrestling is celebrating like only a lesbian can.
As a part of this week's Wednesday night wrestling event Dynamite, AEW is celebrating "National Scissoring Day."
"Just to let you know... #NationalScissoringDay is already TRENDING," out wrestler Anthony Bowens wrote on his Twitter. And across the country, sapphic's ears perked up.

So, what does "scissoring" mean (you know, when we're not talking about lesbian sex)?
Bowens, along with his tag teammates on The Acclaimed, Max Caster and manager Billy Gunn (a.k.a. Daddy A$$) came up with an increasingly popular hand gesture and catchphrase where they shout "Scissor me, Daddy Ass!" and Daddy A$$ climbs into the ring making a scissor shape with his two fingers and interlocks them with the wrestlers also making the gesture with their hands.

The move has gotten so popular, fans will bring signs to matches with the catchphrase and even chant it in unison.
“Uh oh, guess what day it is?

It's NATIONAL SCISSORING DAY on #AEWDynamite ✂️”— AEW on TV (@AEW on TV) 1664980814
AEW's company leader Tony Khan has nothing but praise for The Acclaimed and their scissoring.
"They found ways to connect with the audience, but also to have great matches, and you have to be able to do both to be a truly top wrestler," he said to Variety. "Scissoring is something that really connects to the fans. So I think all this week and especially around Wednesday, and maybe the continuing into Thursday at school the next day, there's going to be people scissoring at school, at work and in the audience at AEW, and there's nothing wrong with it. It's a great way to greet somebody."
If you want to be a part of National Scissoring Day, you can even order a "Scissor me Daddy A$$" t-shirt! Who wouldn't want to walk down the street wearing this tee? It's even a best-seller this year. Wrestling fans can't get enough of scissoring!
