Days after Whitney Houston's death, Fox aired their Valentine's Day episode of Glee. As Amber Riley's Mercedes was going through a particularly tough love triangle, we were going through the death of an icon. Closing out the episode, Riley gave a beautiful performance of "I Will Always Love You."

Jennifer Hudson singing “I Will Always Love You” at the Grammys
Houston died on Grammy weekend, where she was intended to perform. The loss was immediately felt across the industry as they gathered for the biggest music event of the year. The evening quickly became a tribute to the fallen icon, where Jennifer Hudson performed a moving tribute of "I Will Always Love You."
Ariana Grande singing “I Have Nothing” at the White House
In 2014, Ariana Grande performed at the White House for Women of Soul. With President and First Lady Obama sitting front row, she performed "I Have Nothing" as a tribute to her musical icon, Whitney Houston.

Last year, Christina Aguilera took the AMAs stage with a special tribute to Whitney Houston for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard. The medley included such hits as "I Will Always Love You," "I Have Nothing," "Run to You," and "I'm Every Woman."
John Legend & Jordin Sparks singing medley at Billboard Music Awards
Just before her death, Whitney Houston starred in Sparkle with Jordin Sparks, which would be released post-humously. For that year's Billboard Music Awards, Sparks took to the stage with John Legend to perform a tribute to Houston. The medley included "Greatest Love of All" and "I Will Always Love You."

In 2014, Sam Smith stopped by SiriusXM to promote his debut album, In the Lonely Hour. There, he paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a live cover of "How Will I Know."

Beyonce has performed "I Will Always Love You" on multilpe occasions, usually as a mashup with her own song, "Halo." She performed it in a 2012 concert as a tribute to Whitney Houston. She also sang the song in 2013 as a tribute to Paul Walker.

Last year, Lorde blessed Australian fans with a short tribute to Whitney Houston, singing "I Wanna Dance with Somebody." She draped a rainbow flag over her shoulders as it was also a celebration of the recently-passed marriage equality.
