Pop singer P!nk has been hospitalized in Sydney since Sunday for dehydration and a gastric virus, reports CNN. After going to the hospital on Sunday and being discharged, she was readmitted on Monday and canceled the night's performance. It was during her Monday hospital visit that she was diagnosed with a gastric virus, according to her tour promoter Live Nation.
P!nk's diagnosis comes just before seven concert dates in Sydney after shows in Melbourne and Perth. Even amidst local scrutiny about her work ethic and taking advantage of fans, P!nk wrote in a statement to fans "you can think whatever you want, it's your right, but I have never taken advantage of any one in my entire life. I have never fucked off while disrespecting hard working people who spend money to come see me play. I have never phoned in a single tour, I have an impeccable record for not cancelling."
