Tomorrow, Wednesday July 11, LGBTQ actvists are planning to protest Vice President Pence's visit to Kansas City.
Across from where the notoriously anti-LGBTQ VP is expected to deliver remarks promoting President Trump's tax cuts bill and raising money for Kansas Republican Representative Kevin Yoder, the alternative rock station KRBZ is throwing a "Mike Pence Sausage Fest."
96.5 the Buzz tweeted:
“Mike Pence is coming to Kansas City this Wednesday. Pence is no fan of the LGBTQ+ community, and we’re no fan of his. So we’re throwing The Mike Pence Sausage Fest across the street at Barney Allis Plaza starting at 11a. Stop by and get a free hot dog while we have them!”— ALT 96.5 (@ALT 96.5) 1531176169
This isn't the first time LGBTQ advocates have protested Pence. Last month, a party of LGBTQ activists, drag queens, and performers greeted Pence with a "big gay dance party" when the Vice President visited Columbus, Ohio.
