Sivan would have been a fun alternate option for Elio in Call Me By Your Name.
Troye Sivan has made poetry cool again.
The Australian singer has performed a spoken word rendition of Sufjan Stevens' Call Me By Your Name "Mystery of Love" as part of Dazed's Texts series.
The song was nominated for an Oscar this year and performed on the Academy Awards stage by Stevens, who had accompaniment from other musicians including St. Vincent, Moses Sumney, and Chris Thile. The song was also nominated as mostly likely to leave us heaving on the concrete floor, gasping for air as tears flow down our cheeks and threaten to drown us.
