Lorde Slays 'Green Light' and 'Perfect Places' Medley at the MMVAs

Lorde is the reigning leader of the free world, and has been continuing her artful takeover with her new album, guest slots across primetime television, and, most recently, winning the International Artist of the Year award at the MMVAs. To close out the show, Mother Highest performed our national anthem, "Green Light," followed by the closing track of Melodrama, "Perfect Places."

The MMVAs, or Much Music Video Awards, take place in Canada each year--Lorde beat out competitors Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry,and Future to take home the night's top International honor.

This year's ceremony was hosted by Joe Jonas and Allesia Cara. Other notable winners included Drake, Partynextdoor, Imagine Dragons, Grimes and Janelle Monae.
