Meet Leland, the handsome musician who's ready for a 'hot' & 'horny' summer

The out singer-songwriter is even giving a tease on Troye Sivan's upcoming music.

2026 is the year of Leland!

The talented musician has become such a prominent figure in queer media as the primary songwriter and composer for RuPaul's Drag Race and its successful international spin-off shows. Plus, he serves as a frequent collaborator on very sensual songs with major stars such as Troye Sivan, Demi Lovato, Charli xcx, Ava Max, Selena Gomez, and more.

As Pride Month approaches, Leland is keeping the momentum going by gearing up for his steamy upcoming performances. The star promises to incorporate some of his sexiest songs in his discography in his sets.

"It's just fun to tap into that feeling. I think it's a combination of past experiences and the sex I wish I was having! It's just building these experiences, fantasies, and all of that. It's fun to put that in a song and see an artist bring that to life," Leland tells Out.

Although Leland is constantly working in his studio on his own music or on hit songs with the biggest artists, his closest colleague is his best friend, Troye Sivan. Quite some time has passed since Sivan's last album, but Leland promises new music is on the horizon.

"I will just say in a good way, a lot has happened in the past year and a half. We have been productive little writing boys! I'm going to let him share when he's ready. I'm always so excited. It's been so fulfilling, creative, and special. I can't wait for him to take it from there!"

In the meantime, Leland is gearing up for a very exciting summer as he headlines Outloud in West Hollywood during Pride Month and WorldPride Music Festival in Amsterdam at the end of July. The queer DJ is ready to bring sexy and sensual vibes to his electric sets.

"I'm loving DJing daytime block parties... hot, sweaty, horny, and the heat! The smells of the sunscreen to the smells of the poppers. I really enjoy creating the soundtrack to that. I'm only going to wear less! Here we go."

Fans can get tickets to Outloud by visiting the official website here. To see the full interview with Leland, check out the video at the top of the page.
