The Bangerz provocateur filled her stage with greenery for The Voice finale.
A day after the deadly attack on Manchester during Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman Tour stop, Miley Cyrus paid tribute to her friend and the victims with an emotional performance of "Malibu" on The Voice finale.
"I'd like to dedicate this song to my good friend, Ariana Grande, and everyone who experienced that horrific attack yesterday," she said before singing her new single. "Our hearts are with you."
Cyrus' set was filled with lush, colorful greenery, as she performed in front of a projected waterfall and surrounded by floating bubbles. The natural treatment was complementary to her "Malibu" music video, which saw the Bangerz provocateur abandoning her notorious shock tactics for more subdued, expansive scenery.
Sunday night, Cyrus performed the same guitar-driven ballad at the Billboard Music Awards, where her stage was overflowing with hundreds of giant colorful balloons. The emotional singer shed some tears on stage, as she worked through personal lyrics about her fiance Liam Hemsworth.
