The news of the Brangelina split hit hard for many fans, and they're responding the only way they know how—with gifs.
The power couple that is Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (#Brangelina) appears to be no more.
A source close to the couple has confirmed that Jolie has filed for divorce, and the couple is looking to have a "cordial" breakup, CNN reports.
"Other than the fame of the people involved, this is like so many other divorces," the source said.
Pitt also released a statement to People Magazinesaying that the important thing to focus on now is their six children.
"I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids," he said in the statement. "I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
People also reports that Jolie has has asked to have physical custody of their children and for Pitt to have visitations.
Twitter had different plans than a quiet, cordial split this morning. The Internet has exploded from the news with gifs and memes as fans try to make sense of the tragedy.
