Winona Ryder: Beetlejuice Sequel Is Happening
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!
Prepare to wax nostalgic, because one of the most beloved cult films of the 80s is getting a sequel. That's right, there's gonna be a Beetlejuice 2.
Winona Ryder went Late Night with Seth Meyers last night and confirmed the news that there will be another Beetlejuice film.
"Um, I think I can confirm it, because Tim Burton did this interview -- like, it was very hush hush, top secret ... and then he was doing some press for Big Eyes and he did an on-camera interview and he said, 'Oh yeah we're doing it and Winona's going to be in it.'"
She's joining Michael Keaton and Tim Burton in the follow up to the 1988 cult classic, who have already said that the groundwork was being laid for the flick.
Last year in February, Keaton told MTV that he'd spoken to the film's writer and later in December Burton confirmed that there was indeed a script.
So far, this is the second upcoming supernatural project that Ryder's headlining. She's also appearing in a so far untitled Netflix series centering on the mysterious disappearance of a young boy in 1980s Montauk, Long Island.
