If last night's Fox-Facebook Republican debate proved one thing, it's that Donald Trump has no qualms about insulting women based off their looks and personality. After being challenged on his history of making degrading comments about women who disagree with him, the billionaire candidate struck back -- at Rosie O'Donnell.
Fox News host and debate moderator Megyn Kelly started her question by pointing out to Trump, "You've called women you don't like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals..." Before she could finish the question, Trump interjected, "Only Rosie O'Donnell."
"For the record, it was well beyond Rosie O'Donnell," Kelly responded before continuing her question.
Trump also badgered Kelly at the end of his response, telling her that if she didn't like his history with women, "I'm sorry." He went on to say that he has always been nice to Kelly and threatened to be less nice to her following the event in retaliation for asking the question.
O'Donnell, a mother of five, took to Twitter within minutes with a poignant and heartbreaking tweet.
Peter Paige, creator and executive producer for the TV show, The Fosters, also tweeted about Trump's jab. O'Donnell plays a recurring character on the show.
Trump and O'Donnell, who was a liberal commentator on The View, have a history of publicly feuding over social media and the airwaves. Their Twitter battles date back to 2011 when Trump commented on her engagement to partner Michelle Rounds.
