Elizabeth Rose's New Video Supports Marriage Equality in Australia
'It's the division hurting you and me. It's time to change...'
Sydney-based artist Elizabeth Rose is speaking out about marriage equality in her new video for "Division." With the single, Rose hopes to shed light on the issues and hurdles facing same-sex couples today, specifically those those enduring Australia's strict laws preventing same-sex marriage.
With more than 72% of Australia's population in support of the matter, it makes attempts at advocacy, such as Rose's "Division," more important than ever.
In a media release Rose commented about her politically driven single and the fight for marriage equality in Australia stating: "We are moving towards this significant moment in Australian history and I urge people to accept and embrace this need for equality in our country."
