For over a quarter of a century now, Lifetime has been making us all feel guilty for spending many a lonely night in front of its B movies, wine of choice in hand. The recurring themes of teenage pregnancy, cyber-stalking, or celeb junkie biopics have turned the network into a camp favorite. Now, Lifetime is poking a little fun at itself with the help of two comedy titans.
Starring Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig (micdrop), A Deadly Adoption focuses on a married couple who takes in a pregnant woman, played by Jessica Lowndes, with the intent to adopt her child once it's born. Judging from the teaser, things take a very Lifetime turn and don't go as smoothly as planned.
The film is set to air on June 20 to celebrate 25 years of Lifetime's TV movie franchise. Watch the first trailer below.
