Rob Stewart’s Eco-Doc Seeks to Save Our Oceans

Rob Stewart

Filmed over four years in 15 countries, Revolution is the follow up to the widely successful feature documentary Sharkwater.

Director Rob Stewart using Earth Day, April 22, to jumpstart a global conservation fundraising effort with the theatrical release of his eco-documentary, titled Revolution. A followup to his global hit Sharkwater -- which ignited a global movement to protect sharks, changing government policy, and spawning multiple shark conservation groups -- Revolution is Stewart's firsthand look at our oceans, and it took him over four years to complete. While visiting 15 countries -- from the coral reefs in Papua New Guinea to the rainforests in Madagascar -- he captured gorgeous cinematography that includes never-before-seen marine life and endangered wildlife in remote areas.

The film is executive produced by Gus Van Sant, and 50% of the proceeds from Revolution's release beginning April 22, will benefit conservation charities. Select screenings on Earth Day will offer free admission to kids.

The DVD is set to be released June 2. Watch the trailer below:
