The internet collectively gasped over the weekend when, during a commercial break in the UK's The X-Factor, a commercial played that seemingly teased new music from her majesty, Adele.
Never one for dramatic showmanship, the 30-second spot just played white text on a black screen while Adele sang along to the words:
Hello
It's Me
I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet
To go over everything
They say that time's supposed to heal you
But I ain't done much healing
Yes, hello. We'd love to meet after all these years and go over everything. It's been four years since her album 21 came out and won her an armful of Grammys and cemented her as one of the best vocalists of the time. The world is ready for more of Adele.
