Trump Supporter Says LGBTQ+ Allies Should Be 'Shot Dead,' Crowd Cheers

Did he really just say that...?

As the west coast continues to fight one of the largest forest fires on record, video has surfaced of Trump supporters gathering in Salem, Oregon on Labor Day. In the footage, things took a dark turn when a man called for the killing of Democratic politicians who support the LGBTQ+ community.

"We have said all this LGBT agenda has set us back," the unidentified speaker said to the crowd. "They told us we were crazy. They told us we were homophobic. But the God's honest truth is their pedophile agenda has been normalized. It is being pushed forward. I'm a goddamn man, but I think these Democratic leaders who allowed this to happen need to be shot dead in the streets."

The crowd around him, some of whom were carrying automatic weapons according to reports, cheered in response

Following the release of the video, Stanton City Councilor Paige Hook, the Democratic candidate for Oregon House District 17, tweeted that the video brought her to tears.

That same day, a woman spoke to the same crowd and turned her attention on Black Lives Matter activists.

"This fight was not against anybody but humanity," she said. "We're made in the image of God, no wonder they hate us. They legalize abortion and you know I think about these wars that we're going through right now -- the racial war and Black Lives Matter -- but for some reason those Black lives inside of the mother's womb, they don't matter. They don't matter. And that is horrible and that's sinful. No wonder we have such a hatred and an anger about humanity, and who's valuable and who's not. We kill babies in the womb, we kill the elderly..."
