Wicked: For Good star Colman Domingo is sharing his love for Out100 Icon of the Year Niecy Nash-Betts!
Domingo, who voices the Cowardly Lion in the new film, recorded a special video message for his friend.
"Congratulations on your Out100 Icon of the Year award. No one is more deserving than you, friend," the 2023 Out100 alum said. "You are always an inspiration, you are always standing in your truth. You always love out loud in every single shape and form. You are love. We love you and we honor you today with this."
In her Out100 cover story, Nash revealed that she and her wife, Jessica Betts, are close friends with Domingo and his husband, Raul. Nash and Domingo met while filming Selma together.
"Once I introduced Colman and his husband, Raul, to J.B. [Jessica Betts], it was like we became the Fab Four," Nash-Betts says. "It was like, OK, we are locked. Now we vacation together. We plan swim dates together. We do all sorts of fun things together. And yes, Colman officiated our wedding."
"When we got our marriage license, the very first place we stopped on the way home was at Colman's house. And they celebrated us. We drank champagne. We danced in the living room. I just love him so much, on camera and off," she says.
