After decades of putting in the hard werk and being crowned this year’s winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 10, Ginger Minj is overjoyed to create queer art on a bigger scale than ever. She’s founded a production company with her husband, CJ, that aims to “reexamine classic pop culture icons such as The Golden Girls, The Munsters, and Hocus Pocus from a queer perspective.”
Despite her many professional accomplishments, Minj also experienced some personal losses this year with the passing of “Divine Grace, who was a founding member of our company … and the best Bea Arthur you could imagine, and my soul sister Jiggly Caliente.” Yet the All Stars winner says she can “feel their presence pushing me forward every step of the way.”
Minj wants her crowning to show others that persistence pays off. Between hitting the road with Hokus Pokus Live! and a new album and movie on the horizon, Minj teases that her “Broadway debut is right around the corner.” @gingerminj
