As we all know these days, the Internet can be toxic. Or at least, the people who use social media platforms to spew hatred can make it seem that way. Earlier this spring, an interracial gay couple were mocked and bullied online after a photo of them holding hands went viral on Facebook. As Rappler explained, offensive comments were made about the Asian-Caucasian couple due to their difference in body types and race.
Later, they were identified as Naparuj Mond Kaendi, a Thai creative director and booking agent at Bacca Model Management, and Thorsten Mid, a German citizen. Not deterred by all the virtual hate, it seems the couple has officially wed in Germany, and the grooms posted photos on Instagram and using the hashtag #MONDSTEN for the wedding.
Congrats to the happy couple.
