Over the course of four decades, Garber's alter egos have included a double agent for the CIA (in J.J. Abrams's Alias), the closeted husband to a crackpot phony therapist played by Lisa Kudrow (in Showtime's Web Therapy), and even Jesus Christ (in the 1973 movie version of Godspell). He's also racked up four Tony noms and roles in Titanic, Milk, and the Ben Affleck-directed political thriller Argo, which won the Oscar this year for Best Picture just weeks after Garber confirmed that he's been with his partner, Rainer Andreesen, for 14 years.
