Over the weekend the east coast reached peak geekdom when the 2018 edition of New York Comic Con took over the Javits center on Manhattan's west side.
An estimated 250,000 fans flocked to the city to see the cast and sneak peeks of their favorite TV shows, get their hands on exclusive nerdy merch, and to just be immersed in a shuffling mass of like-minded entertainment enthusiasts.
As usual the cosplayers turned it out, eager to show off the results of hours upon hours of hard work and dedication. From a skimpy Yoshi to an 11-foot tall Kaiju from Pacific Rim along with its adversarial Jaegers, photographer Andrew Werner captured fans in their element at the height of the convention.
