SLUMBR at The Standard
Dating app Grindr and VisionaireWorld hosted SLUMBR, a black tie pajama party, in celebration of Pride. Post-parade, the event drew some of New York's finest, from A-list celebrities to fashion influencers, who all gathered in dress code --leather, lace, and satin were key that night-- at The Top of The Standard, The Standard hotel's rooftop bar, in the Meatpacking District.
The entire 17th floor of The Standard was redesigned to feature artist dreamscapes installations and performances by the likes of Juliana Huxtable, Ian Isiah, and Jacolby Satterwhite. At midnight, a surprise bedtime story was screened. Written by designers Viktor & Rolf and narrated by Vice's Ahmed Shihab-Eldin, the message included a call to action to support the families and victims of the Pulse shooting in Orlando, and a minute of silence was observed to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the attack.
