Drag Queens Shut Down Far-Right Reporter With a THWORP!! of Their Fans

Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence shut down far right rally with Proud Boys in Washington, D.C.

Thank you, Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence!

A Washington, D.C., chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence successfully shut down a far-right reporter's interview with nothing more than the THWORP!! of their fans.

Some fascists and their sympathizers descended on the nation's capital over the weekend to attend a rally for, heavy quotes, "free speech" at Freedom Plaza. Their stated aim, per local NBC affiliate NBC4, was to call attention to how social media companies like Twitter and Facebook have banned users from their platforms for spewing hate speech and other violent rhetoric. Seems like an easier solution would've been to just stop spewing hate speech and other violent rhetoric, but that's! just! me!

Anyway, the smattering of idiots -- including some members of the Proud Boys, a violent gang of white supremacist assholes that the Southern Poverty Law Center has declared a hate group -- did their flaccid little #DemandFreeSpeech Freedom Rally only to be met by a much girthier anti-fascist counter-protest called All Out D.C. The two groups barely interacted with each other, thanks to the hundreds of police officers guarding the far-right rally, HuffPost reports. But at least a couple of fascist assholes strayed across the street to antagonize the side of hot people with good politics.

After one unidentified far-right journalist wouldn't stop bothering members of the All Out D.C. crowd, a local chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence -- the community service-based group of drag queens who dress like dragged-out nuns -- intervened. The Sisters tailed the reporter, clacking their fans so that none of her interview footage would be audible. Unicorn Riot captured it all on video. Check it out below, and remember: resistance can be gay as hell!!!!
