In 2018, it's more important than ever to vote. And nobody knows that quite like Jonathan Van Ness.
The Queer Eye grooming expert/politically-inclined queer icon/general glowing ray of positivity recently sat down with Cynthia Nixon. The Sex and the City actress and outspoken activist is gearing up for the Democratic primary as she strives to become governor of New York. And she gave Van Ness the rundown on her platform while reminding people to vote this week.
In addition to healthcare, education, and Black Lives Matter, they touched on queer people and the intersectionality of the movement that Nixon is contributing to.
"There are so many people like me," Van Ness says. "There are so many LGBTQ people. There are so many people of color. There are so many women. There are so many people that want to come together and make these things that people said could never happen, they want to make them happen. Because we want to see change in this country. So, it's really a movement, and we all want to see things move forward in a progressive way."
Don't forget to vote in the Democratic primary on Thursday, September 13. Watch Jonathan Van Ness interview Cynthia Nixon below:
