The Military Kiss Shared Across the Internet

Neither Spc. Shane Adriano or Pfc. Tristian Resz ever expected their small and intimate wedding would become national news. But after garnering thousands of likes and more than a thousand shares on Facebook, the photo of their first married kiss as husband and husband has taken the Internet by storm.

The American Military Partner Association (AMPA) originally posted the photo as congratualtions for two of the pair who are also members. The original post has accumlated more than 5,100 likes so far.

The AMPA is a resource and support network for the partners of LGBT service members and veterans. With more than 45,000 members, the AMPA is dedicated to supporting and educating the country about the modern military family.

The couple got engaged shortly after meeting last fall and married in a Springfield, Missouri courthouse February 11. Reflecting on their quick engagement, Adriano told the Springfield News-Leader, "I know a lot of people don't believe in love at first sight, but sometimes you just know. That is how I felt with me and him."
