Listen to Lana's Cover of Madonna's Evita Track 'You Must Love Me'
Lana Del Rey's cover of Madonna's "You Must Love Me," from the movie musical Evita, is here, and it's as if the song has been in our heads this whole time.
Lana was born to sing this part: a First Lady on her deathbed reflecting on the anxieties of her life and her doubt in her great love. It's mournful, moaning, and magical--Lana in her truest, rawest form.

The song is off of Unmasked: The Platinum Collection, a best-of Andrew Lloyd Webber album in celebration of the celebrated composer's 70th birthday. The record comes out March 16, and in addition to this new Lana gloomy masterpiece there is a Beyonce cover of "Learn to Be Lonely" from Phantom--yes, she sang that at the Oscars in 2005 and yes, we're including a YouTube link below.
Listen to Lana's "You Must Love Me," and then, to maintain your sanity, watch Beyonce at the Oscars (she should probably just be the Oscars' musician-in-residence moving forward?):
