We're Squealing: Are Carly Rae Jepsen & Charli XCX Collaborating?

Two of pop's most prolific songwriters, Carley Rae Jepsen and Charli XCX, are recording together in the same California studio, right now. The visual proof comes from Charli's longtime collaborator Justin Raisen (True Romance, Sucker), who posted to Instagram last night a photo of the two wearing headphones in a booth. The timing makes sense, considering Carly Rae's currently working on the follow-up to 2015's E*MO*TION and Charli's finalizing her third studio album, after sharing last week her Number 1 Angel mixtape. Though a proper duet would be life-changing, it's also likely the pair are just writing together for other artists, considering Charli has previously done so for everyone from Britney Spears to Rita Ora.
